We’ve made heart rate variability (HRV) tracking even more accessible. With the latest Kubios HRV app update, a new beta feature allows users to take a resting HRV measurement using their smartphone’s built-in accelerometer—no external sensor or chest strap required.

Simply place your phone on your chest while lying down. The app detects tiny chest wall movements caused by heartbeats, providing a reliable and non-invasive way to monitor stress, recovery, and autonomic nervous system balance.

We are pleased to announce the release of Kubios HRV Scientific version 4.2.0. This update introduces several new features and usability improvements aimed at supporting high-quality HRV research and analysis.

Highlights of version 4.2.0 include:

• A new Export HRV Figures option that enables high-resolution figure export for use in scientific publications
• Support for FIT file performance data in the Training Report (e.g., speed, power, distance, altitude)
• The ability to import pre-defined event markers from a CSV template

We would like to inform our customers of upcoming price changes affecting Kubios HRV Scientific software licenses. These changes will apply to all license types of Kubios HRV Scientific and will take effect on June 15, 2025.

Key points to note:

• The price adjustment applies only to new orders placed on or after the effective date.
• Renewals of existing subscriptions will not be affected, as long as the renewal is processed before the current license expires.
• If a subscription is not renewed in time, continuing to use the software will require placing a new order at the updated price.
• These changes do not apply to Kubios HRV Team Readiness software.

The prices for Kubios HRV Scientific licenses have remained unchanged since October 2022. To reflect ongoing investment in development and support, as well as increased operational costs, we are now updating the pricing structure. You can find the new prices listed below.
