Automatic artefact correction of heart rate variability (HRV) data
Automatic artefact correction algorithm available in Kubios HRV Premium now published in Journal of Medical Engineering and Technology:

The algorithm detects abnormal beats with high accuracy, providing comparable specificity and better sensitivity to detect ectopic beats as compared to state-of-the-art algorithms. The sensitivity of the algorithm to detect missed/extra beats was 100%. The sensitivity to detect real atrial and ventricular ectopic beats was 96.96%, the corresponding specificity being 99.94%. The use of this artefact correction is highly recommended because it secures reliable HRV analysis by reducing the effect of possible artefacts to tolerable level. Thus, this artefact correction algorithm is by default automatically applied to your HRV data in Kubios HRV Premium.
