We are pleased to announce the latest update to Kubios HRV Scientific software (ver. 4.0.3). The Scientific version is a full-featured Heart Rate Variability (HRV) analysis software designed for scientific research and professional use. With this new release, Kubios HRV Scientific is now the first HRV analysis software to fully support dog HRV data.
At the same time, we are introducing two new license types to meet the needs of our customers. The classroom license is available for educational institutions that want to use Kubios HRV Scientific software in classrooms or training labs. The Group Measurement License allows you to perform multiple simultaneous HRV measurements using the Kubios HRV mobile app to enhance your HRV data collection.

Support for dog HRV data
Did you know that dogs exhibit significantly higher HRV compared to humans?
To ensure accurate analysis, our new update introduces adjusted pre-processing and analysis settings specifically designed for dog HRV data. With this new release, Kubios HRV Scientific is now the first HRV analysis software that fully supports dog HRV data.
Kubios HRV Scientific classroom license
Good news for educational institutions that want to use Kubios HRV Scientific software in teaching or training labs: Kubios HRV Scientific has a new classroom license that allows multiple active sessions with a single license. The fact that you don’t have to buy several licenses separately makes license management much easier; one license works for the whole classroom! This type of license is available for educational use only.
Kubios HRV Scientific group measurement license
Our new license type allows multiple simultaneous HRV measurements in Kubios HRV mobile app. This feature makes HRV measurement and analysis easier and more efficient for scientific researchers and professionals. You can measure for example 10 or more (depending on the license) participants at the same time and upload their measurements to your Kubios HRV Scientific desktop software for analysis via Kubios Cloud Sync. The license allows one active session on the Kubios HRV Scientific and multiple sessions on the Kubios HRV mobile app.
Improvements and bug fixes
The update also brings along several minor improvements and bug fixes, including:
- Improved support for EDF+ annotations
- Improved support for CSV and FIT files
- Time-varying spectrum estimation updated
- Minor improvements to the QRS detector algorithm.
